Israeli man murdered in armed robbery of Hod Hasharon store ...


Two armed robbers shoot a thirty-year old man who chased them down a main road following their robbery of a jewelry and watch store.

A thirty-year-old man was murdered Wednesday following an armed robbery at a jewelry and watch store in the central Israeli city of Hod Hasharon. The man was chasing the robbers as they escaped from the store, when both robbers shot him to death.

Vast police forces were deployed following the murder, including a search helicopter, to scan the area in search of the two robbers.

Magen David Adom rescue services called to the scene attempted to resuscitate the man, who was suffering from numerous gunshots in his upper body, but were forced to pronounce him dead after a short time.
The murder took place on a busy main road in Hod Hasharon, Ramatayim Street, which also serves as a main public transport vessel. It was carried out in front of numerous eye witnesses, who saw the two robbers escape from the crime scene on motorcycles.
Just two days ago a security guard was killed during a bank robbery in Be'er Yaakov. The security guard, Yaniv Englar, 31, of Rishon Letzion, was shot four times as while trying to prevent the robber from entering the bank. The robber stole NIS 4,000 before escaping the crime scene.
