Calling for an Attack on Iran: US, Israel Politicians are “Detached From Reality” ...

In the wake of the recent IAEA report on Iran’s nuclear program, Israel and its Western allies are once again pushing for a military confrontation with Iran. While they argue that confrontation with Iran is a rational action, in actuality the US and Israeli governments are showing just how much they are detached from reality.

Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is “trying to rally support in his cabinet for an attack on Iran” [1] with only a narrow majority of the Cabinet opposing the move. Netanyahu has also stated that in regards to Iran that “all options are on the table.” This truly shows how detached from reality he is as an attack on Iran would potentially spell disaster for Israel as while there is currently no proof that Iran is attempting to gainnuclear weapons, attacking Iran would ensure that the regime would then make it a goal to have nuclear weapons to use as a deterrent from future attacks.

In addition to this, an attack on Iran could potentially anger the entire region against Israel as it “would produce a nightmare far more extensive than Chernobyl” and ”The immediate and long-term human toll from the nuclear fallout and radiation from so many reactors and plants [would be] inconceivable;” it would potentially “strengthen extremist forces and impeded democratic reform in Iran, and it would ignite hatred against religious minorities throughout the Middle East.” [2]

Thus, an attack on Iran would not be in Israel’s interest in the slightest from a purely logical standpoint when one looks at the potential repercussions.

Unfortunately, this detachment from reality also extends to the US leadership as well. There are many in the Republican Party who are “reviving many of the arguments thatneoconservative proponents of armed intervention against Tehran lost in the latter years of George W. Bush’s presidency.” [3]

Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stated that if Obama was re-elected Iran would attain a nuclear weapon. He also openly stated that he would attempt to destabilize the Iranian regime, saying that “the U.S. should be ‘working with the insurgents in the country to encourage regime change’” but “if ‘there’s nothing else we can do besides take military action, then of course you take military action.’” [4]

Another Republican Presidential hopeful, Newt Gingrich, followed in the same vein, calling “for ‘maximumcovert operations to block and disrupt the Iranian program.’” [5] By openly stating that they plan to engage in covert action against Iran, the Presidential hopefuls are effectively alerting Iran of their intent and allowing Iran to be on their toes should either person become President. In addition to this, how does either candidate expect to find money or troops for this? The US military is stretched thin, the US economy is in shambles, America is nearing a GDP to debt ratio of 1 to 1, and there is currently a super-committee which is planning to impose harsh austerity measures on the country.

Both the Israeli and US leadership are further detached from reality on the issue of Iran when both state that Iran is a threat. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman stated that “Iran poses the largest, most dangerous threat to the current world order” [6] and President Obama stated that the US was “’not taking any options off the table’” in regards to Iran’snuclear program and that an “’Iran with nuclear weapons would pose a threat not only to the region but also to the United States.’” [7]

This argument is quite ridiculous. TheUnited States, a nation that has consistently been directly and indirectly involved in military conflicts every decade since the 1940s and Israel, the most aggressive militaristic regime in the region, are much greater threats toworld peace than Iran could ever be.Iran is a threat to neither in the US or Israel. Israel is a regionalsuperpower with a world-class army and nuclear weapons. The US is the world’s sole superpower and recently acquired 20 GPS-guided 30,000 lb bunker-busting bombs [8] and “held a successful test flight of a flying bomb that travels faster than the speed of sound and will give military planners the ability to strike targets anywhere in the world in less than a hour.” [9] (emphasis added) Thus, how would Iran pose a threat to either nation, much less the entire world?

The US and Israeli leadership are detached from reality and this could potentially prove quite dangerous and costly not only for their nations, but for the world at large.

Israel’s Plan to Destroy Iran’s Civilian Infrastructure ...

Israel plans not only to attack Iran’s fledgling nuclear program, but also its civilian infrastructure.

Eli Lake, writing for The Daily Beast, cites current and former U.S. intelligence officials who say Israel’s target list includes Iran’s electric grid, internet, cellphone network, and emergency frequencies for firemen and police officers.

Officials say Israel has developed a weapon that simulates a maintenance cellphone signal commanding cell networks to “sleep” and stopping transmissions. It also has electronic jammers that can interrupt emergency frequencies for first responders and police.

Iran’s civilian electric grids are connected to the internet and vulnerable to cyberattack with computer viruses such as Stuxnet, a sophisticated version of malware developed by the United States and the Israelis. A retired senior military intelligence officer told the Daily Beast the Israelis also have the capability to launch a denial-of-service attack on Iran’s command and control system that is connected to the Internet.

The Israelis will likely use an unmanned drone known as Eitan to deliver a blow to Iran’s civilian infrastructure. The Eitan can fly for 20 straight hours and carry a payload of one ton. Another version of the drone, however, can fly up to 45 straight hours, according to U.S. and Israeli officials, The Daily Beast reports. The Eitan is part of Israel’s special electronic air force unit known as the Sky Crows, which concentrates on electronic warfare.

The existence of a program designed to cripple crucial civilian infrastructure not related to Iran’s nuclear program reveals that the Israeli-U.S. plan is to reduce the country to a Stone Age condition much the same way Iraq was leveled in 2003.

Beginning in 1991 with Bush Senior’s illegal invasion, Iraqi civilians and their infrastructure were deliberately targeted by the U.S. military. The savage bombardment had a “near apocalyptic impact” on Iraq and had transformed the country into a “pre-industrial age nation,” which “had been until January a rather highly urbanized and mechanized society,” writes author William Blum, citing United Nations observations.

“Bombing of Iraqi cities served no military purpose but was designed to destroy the civilian infrastructure. War games in July 1990 in South Carolina trained pilots to bomb civilian targets and Pentagonstatements about plans to bomb civilian targets in August and September 1990 areevidence that these targets were set well in advance of January 15, 1991,” writes David Model in his book, Lying for Empire: How to Commit War Crimes With A Straight Face.

“Critical elements of the civilian infrastructure were destroyed including communication systems, oil refineries, electric generators, water treatment facilities, dams, and transportation centers,” Model continues. “Over 90 percent of Iraq’s electrical capacity was destroyed in the first days of the bombing.”

Iraq’s water supply was specifically targeted and resulted in the death of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children. Iraq’s capacity to produce food was also destroyed by attacks on agriculture, food processing, food storage and the food distribution system. Half of Iraq’s agricultural output depended on irrigation systems which were also destroyed.

In addition to hundreds of hospitals, health centers, mosques and schools, Bush’s Pentagon bombed densely populated cities, killing thousands. Civilian highway traffic was targeted and vehicles such as buses and cars were bombed repeatedly.

Following the decimation of Iraq, the United Nations imposed draconian sanctions on the country that resulted in the death of more than a million, including over 500,000 children. When that failed to unseat Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussein (a former CIA asset), Bush’s son launched another invasion of the country in 2003. As a result, more than a million people have died.

Israel and the United States plan to do the same to Iran, using its nuclear program as an excuse the same way Bush and the neocons used Saddam’s alleged weapons as of mass destruction as an excuse to level the country.

Prior to Bush Senior’s invasion, Iraq was an industrialized country with a modern infrastructure with electricity and water available to the entire country. Following the first invasion and the imposition of medieval sanctions, the country was on par with failed states in Africa.

Iran, despite its fledgling nuclear program, does not threaten either Israel or the United States. The problem, according to the international bankers and the globalists, is that Iran is not a vassal state mired in poverty and misery like many of its neighbors. It does not take orders from Wall Street and the City of London.

Even the IMF is obliged to note that Iran’s economy grew by 3.2 percent this year on the strength of greateragriculture production and higher oil prices. It is not indebted to the bankers and refuses to kowtow to Israel’s insatiable hegemonic drive, so it has to be reduced to rubble.

Sources expects Israeli attack on Iran with US logistical support early 2012!

A senior Foreign Office official says Britishgovernment ministers have been told to expect Israeli military action in the wake of the UN watchdog report “as early asChristmas or very early in the new year,” the London Daily Mail reported Thursday, Nov. 10.  The ministers were told that Israel would strike Iran’s nuclear sites “sooner rather than later” – with “logistical support” from the US.

According to the British paper, which has good military and intelligence ties in London, President Barack Obama would “have to support the Israelis or risk losing Jewish-American support in the next presidential election.” The bigger concern is that once Iran is nuclear-armed, it will be impossible to stop Saudi Arabia and Turkey from developing their own weapons to even out the balance of nuclear terror in the Middle East.

The Daily Mail goes on to report that in recent weeks, British Ministry of Defense sources confirmed that contingency plans had been drawn up in the event that the UK decided to support military action.

The reference to US logistical support is explained by our military sources as pointing to the Libyan model of military intervention whereby France, Britain and Italy spearheaded the action against the Qaddafi regime while the United Statesfrom “a back seat” laid on satellite and aerial intelligence and placed at their disposal its logistical supply network, including the in-flight refueling of bombers and ordnance.
Transposing this model to an offensive against Iran, Israel’s air and naval forces would front the attack on Iran with logistical and intelligence backup from the United States, while leading NATO powers France, Britain,Germany, Holland and Italy would participate directly or indirectly in the Israeli operation.
Since this attack would almost certainly bring forth reprisals from Tehran and its allies, Syria, Hizballah and the Palestinian Hamas and Jihad Islami, it would almost certainly expand into a wider Middle East conflict, thus also broadening US and West European military intervention.

Prospects are fading for the alternative to military action – tough new sanctions able to choke Iran’s financial operations and oil exports after the nuclear agency confirmed its surreptitious attainment of a nuclear weaponcapability.

Wednesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov promised visiting Iranian official Ali Baqeri that “Any additional sanctions against Iran will be seen… as an instrument for regime change in Tehran. That approach is unacceptable to us and the Russian side does not intend to consider such proposals.”

China will certainly go along with Russia on this.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s first response to the IAEA report was to attack its credibility and declare that Iran would continue its nuclear program regardless of its findings.

For one thing, an enormous wall of plasma is towering over the sun’s southeastern horizon. Stephen Ramsden of Atlanta,Georgia, took this picture on Nov. 11th:

“Solar forums all over the world are buzzing with Sun-stronomers proclaiming this to be the biggest prominence that many of them had ever witnessed,” he says.

Remarkably, though, this is not the biggest thing. A dark filament of magnetism is winding halfway around the entire sun: SDO image. From end to end, it stretches more than a million km or about three times the distance between Earth and the Moon. If the filament becomes unstable, as solar filaments are prone to do, it could collapse and hit the stellar surface below, triggering a Hyder flare. No one can say if the eruption of such a sprawling structure would be Earth directed.

“I cant help but wonder what could possibly come next since we are still over a year away from the forecasted Solar Maximum,” adds Ramsden. “There’s never been a better time to own a solar telescope than now!”

DISAPPEARING TRICK: If you’re a spy satellite, the ability to disappear could come in handy. US spysatLacrosse 5 occasionally performs just such a trick. On Nov. 11th, satellite watcher Dr. Marco Langbroek of Leiden, the Netherlands, caught the orbiting radar suddenly fading to near invisibility:

“Lacrosse 5 is typically bright but occasionally performs what is known among observers as the ‘disappearance trick,’” says Langbroek. “Its brightness suddenly drops 3 astronomonical magnitudes or more.”

Could this be a deliberate form of stealth? Langbroek doesn’t think so. “Maybe some part of the spacecraft such as its solar panels casts a shadow over the main body,” he speculates. “Or perhaps the surface of Lacrosse 5 becomes less reflective at certain viewing angles. This could happen as the craft suddenly changes attitude for some reason.” Other Lacrosse satellites do not perform the trick, at least not to this extent, suggesting that the design of Lacrosse 5 differs from its predecessors.

“Later in the movie a bright Soyuz rocket booster (81-008B) passes by as well,” he adds. “This is a piece of space debris connected to the 1981 launch of a Russian military satellite.”

NASA shoots down 2012 doomsday scenario ...

Forget everything you’ve heard about the world ending on Dec, 21, 2012. NASA is here to assure us that come Dec. 22, 2012, we will still be standing. In a post that appears on the space agency’s site, NASA dispelled several myths surrounding thedoomsday date.

“Given a legitimate need to protect Earth from the most intense forms of space weather -– great bursts of electromagnetic energy and particles that can sometimes stream from the sun -– some people worry that a gigantic ‘killer solar flare’ could hurl enough energy to destroy Earth,” the statement said.

“Citing the accurate fact that solar activity is currently ramping up in its standard 11-year cycle, there are those who believe that 2012 could be coincident with such a flare. But this same solar cycle has occurred over millennia. Anyone over the age of 11 has already lived through such a solar maximum with no harm. In addition, the next solar maximum is predicted to occur in late 2013 or early 2014, not 2012.”

NASA says there simply isn’t enough energy in the sun to “send a killer fireball 93 million miles to destroy Earth.”

The agency says the prediction that we’d be toast in 2012 started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth.

“This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two fables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 — hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

We’re following closely the situation in the area,” said Kleever. A 4.3-magnitude quake rocked southern Haiti early morning today, one year, ten months and two days after the worst seism in the history of this country occurred. No damages or fatalities have been reported so far, but the people panicked as they relived thenightmare. According to the expert, the tremor might indicate an area of seismic activity also in the northern Caribbean plate. For years, the specialists have feared the likelihood of powerful quakes and ensuingtsunamis in the Caribbean because of the existence in the area of important focuses of danger of tectonic movement. One of them is located near Dominica, considered the point with the largest number of potentially active volcanoes in the world. However, Kleever said panic must not be triggered among the population. “Just remain on alert and take steps in case of any tremor,” he said. For many years we have seen the US and Israel participating in military exercises with a particular focus on countering simulated attacks by ballistic, medium-range and short-range missiles and rockets by Iran on Israel.

What is ironic about these exercises is the fact that Iran has not made any threats towards Israel in this regard but rather that it will defend itself and take retaliatory measures should Israel carryout an act of war in attacking its facilities.

As part of this build up the US Military has more than doubled its stockpile of weapons in Israel which it states “Israel can use.” One would assume that just like the preparation in the build up to the Lebanon Crisis in 2006 and pre Cast Lead in 2008 that this is a very clear indication that both the US and Israel are preparing for a strike on the nuclear facilities in Iran. The US Navy already has a significant naval force in the Gulf, Eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf and can use a variety of weapons that can be launched from both ships, submarines and aircraft carriers.   We have also seen a deployment of Israeli Naval Vessels into the region (including submarines) as well as the existence of Royal Naval Vessels and Submarines

 In order for the Israeli Navy to position to such a location it requires the permission of the Gulf States to enter their waters. One cannot fully understand how these Islamic States could allow Israeli vessels to transit their zone with the intention of carrying out an attack on another Islamic country (Iran) or in fact any other Islamic country.

It was no suprise to see these  same states turn their back on Lebanon, Gaza-Palestine, Libya and now Syria. We currently  see Egypt, that was supposed to experience democracy, still being run in a most uncertain way and obviously waiting to install a US/Israel friendly government.

What I find amazing is that the UN and the world looks on without saying a word knowing that this action will probably take place as soon as the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is ready for operational use (which it is). The Pentagon has been applying extreme pressure on Boeing to bring forward the development and testing of this massive bomb,  almost two years ahead of intended operations. It may also be the US intention to make use of the Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) which was intended for use in Iraq/Afghanistan and currently sitting around………you know the US/UK/Israel love to use up their “Dirty Bombs” (especially those with Depleted Uranium) or to test their latest technology in the fields of conflict.

These types of weapons can be dropped from the back of a C130 (Hercules) aircraft but in doing so makes the C130 and easy target…….this is why the US will have to provide a Stealth Bomber if such weapons are going to be used against Iran

I might add that the NPT does not cover small nuclear bombs and therefore any “Nuke” (with a dial up value of up to 5kt) has/will/can be used to be more effective. Maybe we are all thinking that the last use ofnuclear weapons was on the Japanese in WW2………wrong!!!!….it is believed one was used in Iraq, southeast of Basra and close to the Iranian border………it is also my belief that some were used in the Tora Bora Mountains in Afghanistan to smoke out the non existant Bin Laden and Al Queda……that batch actually started off an earthquake at the time. These weapons were flown from US Carriers that were operating in the Arabian Sea at the time.

There are a multitude of other weapons that Israel can use………it has available for usage anything from the US massive stock-pile in Israel and naturally its own depleted uranium weapons and many other “Dirty Bombs”…….What I find so interesting was that previously any weapon leaving the US had to be passed via Congress with a formal “Transmittal Notice”……..this no longer applies as Obama has now found a way to allow the US Military to establish an offshore military out station and then do a simple internal transfer of it’s hardware and weapons from the US to wherever!!

The Israeli Naval warships and submarines  (although small in number ) are all equipped with missiles but do not pose a significant threat owing to the numbers involved….one would assume they would form part of a multi-national task force in order to become effective ie US/UK or NATO

As I have pointed out Israel does not have the capability to carry out such an attack alone as it lacks the bombs listed above, means of delivery and the range etc……..this will certainly be a “Joint Venture” between Israel, US, UK and possibly other NATO partners……..this also means that warships and submarines from all of the above countries would participate. The Israeli Navy does have warships and submarines that can fire Cruise Missiles (both nuclear and depleted uranium).

Sot let’s now look at the complications associated with a possible strike on Iran and what Israel and partners could expect back in return. 

It is my understand that this is not just a simple action, to take out nuclear facilities, but rather an extremely dangerous situation that could not only lead to a major action or war but also cause catastrophic radiation contamination of the entire Middle East, Asia, SE Asia, Europe and the World. I will cover the environmental aspects towards the end of this article.

The implications certainly could lead to WW3 based simply on the fact that NATO stance is ”An attack on any military facility, oil/gas facility, pipeline or any other commercial entity is an attack on all” …needless to say that even if Israel/US/UK fire the first salvo this would be an act of war and thus Iran would respond…….the response would then possibly involved striking selective targets in Israel and possibly US/UK or NATO overseas facilities…..this would then be turned by the US into an attack on NATO and or a partner with consequences that are beyond imagination.

So lets again look at this very dangerous and complicated military scenario that is starting to unfold and fully understand who has to be involved in carrying out such an attack and the risks associated with its implementation.

First of all this type of operation is pushing the safety envelope of the Israeli Air Force to its maximum and can only be achieved with the involvement of the US Military. None of the existing IAF aircraft can make such a long range flight without transiting other Islamic States, stopping for fuel or in having in flight refueling provided by the US. The massive US fed munitions stockpile currently in Israel would be utilized by the IAF and they would have to take maximum weapons payload with minimum fuel. This mission would test both aircraft and their crews to the maximum with the main purpose of delivering their deadly payload to target and with no room to detour or carry out a defensive role if attacked by any Iranian aircraft. It would clearly mean that some of the Israeli aircraft would not return as a result of this high risk operation.

The Israeli Air Force desperately want The F22 Raptor to replace the F-15′s (above)  but at a cost. I found this historical statement ”The IAF would be happy to equip itself with 24 F-22s, but the problem at this time is the US refusal to sell the aircraft, and its $200 million price tag.”

As it stands  the Israeli Airforce have to cope with their gas guzzling F-15′s for the time being and hope that the US.UK or NATO can assist them to pull off this risky mission!!

The fleet at the moment consists of F-15E (attack),  F-15 and F16  (fighter) and an array of patrol aircraft and transport aircraft (including the C130). They have B707 (tanker) and an array of helicopters – Sea Stallion – Attack Helicopters etc and not forgetting their heavy dependency on unmanned drones for spying and firing hell-fire missiles

The weapons stockpiled by the US in Israel  contain weapons with uranium components such as “Bunker Buster”, JDAM bombs, Cruise Missiles, Hellfire Missile  etc and the combination of such weapons hitting a nuclear facility would lead to terrible consequences in the Middle East. Then we have the question of the MOP which is specifically being tested for use in Iran and possibly the MOAB. These bomsb have the potential to not only call catastrophic damage but also has the ability to wipe out the electricity grid system and all communication. They are also very capable in setting  off earthquakes in the region. All of the above weapons in that context could be classified as WMD’s and are totally indiscriminate in their application and thus are in breach of the Geneva Convention as well as breaching many other international laws. Any weapon of this size when it enters the earth crust sends huge shockwaves deep into the earth and should this be in an area of existing rifts the resultant aftermath is self explanatory. Iran sits on top of such an active area.

It is also my belief that whilst Israel and the US are on a war footing with Iran that they may also possibly carry out strikes on Gaza/Palestine, Lebanon and Syria in order to subdue any backlash from such an attack.  As with all conflicts the whole purpose is to divide and conquer and Israel is right in the middle of a very unstable area. Should they choose to carry out such action I am sure this could well see the end of Israel.

Let’s now look at the appropriate missiles defence shields and any retalitory systems that could be used and the targets that could be selected within Israel:

I guess the next question is how does one defend or strike on either side?

Obviously as we speak both countries are attempting to improve their defence systems and so the above information would then become obsolete.

Needless to say that in the unfortunate event that this attack by Israel/US/UK takes place, we can expect counter supportive attacks on Israel from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. 

The environmental aspect of such an attack will create a  catastrophic fallout that will initially consume the entire Middle East within 4 days –  from Turkey – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India and from North of the Caspian Sea to the Gulf of Aden. Armenia – Georgia – Azerbaijan – Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan -Tajikistan – Kyrgyzstan – China – Nepal – Syria – Iraq – Kuwait – Saudi Arabia – Bahrain – Lebanon – Israel – Palestine – Jordan – Egypt – Qatar – UAE – Oman – Yemen. Not one country in the Middle East will be spared. The contamination will then cover all of the areas I have pointed out above well within one month. 

The map below shows clearly how that contamination will spread around the world and in the case of Depleted Uranium will remain in the environment for a half life of 4.5 billion years.

It is interesting to note that when the US, UK, France and NATO commenced blasting Libya the radioactivecontamination spread across Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Spain, Portugal and then headed out over mid Atlantic whereby it did a 180 degree turn and headed back over the UK and EU…….such is the curse of Depleted Uranium which does not recognize any international borders!!

I actually shared a coffee today with an ex  Iraqi Special Forces guy who had lost a leg to a land mine and the other remaining leg was badly injured resulting in mutiple operations…….he can never return to his homeland, even if he wanted too, because he worked with Americans………I was shocked as to how patriotic he was towards the US and UK…….my attempt to explain to him what we have done to his country and how we are now raping it was beyond his comprehension…….it was only when I explained the genetical damage to his country that he started to better understand where I was coming from….especially the fact that no women in the city of  Fallujah or Basra can safely have a child now.

I met many such people during my travels in Iraq and also with many displaced people in Amman, Jordan. many of whom can never return or see their families again. Many had been tortured or members of their families assassinated. 

I frequently discuss the issue of the so called US Military withdrawal from Iraq….which is another con because they have now replaced them with around 100,000 private security guys (who in some cases lack discipline) who are armed better than their military counterparts…….Blackwater just changed their name but still carry on as they have always done and so many others like them……I know many of them myself when I was working there and believe me they know how to pack a punch!!! 

To close all I can say is that we must stop this US/UK/France and Israeli madness before the entire world becomes totally contaminated with nano particles of radiation from their uranium laced weaponry……keep in mind that Depleted Uranium can and does penetrate the Nose – Brain Barrier…….it also directly attacks the genetics of our body causing terrible mutations, disfigurement and mental disorders…….it attacks the very DNA of life itself.
